Leg Two: Lima Continued...

Flight from Miami to Lima:

So compared to the previous flight, I was in heaven. Not that it was that amazingly spectacular; I didn’t have a whole private jet VIP area to myself. Yet I did have a whopping two farthest right of the plane seats. There was this nice elderly gentleman sitting there before, but the plane wasn’t full, so he moved up to sit next to his wife. Then again, it could’ve been the fact that when I sat down, I had him wait to sit down as I unpacked my backpack because I had to strategically take out what I knew I wanted, as my backpack wouldn’t fit into the space given. All in all, it worked out for me. Though I lost a conversation buddy (maybe), I gained practically a whole bed. You see, when you are a mere 5’2”, the correct positioning of the body leaves you with a wonderful, and near-comfy sleeping arrangement.

Now there was no Italian woman to gaze at me as I gazed at the TV in this flight, but I still drew a quick thought of her when I happily looked at my high-tech-ish individual screen on the back of the headrest in front of me. And not only were there movies. There were music channels, TV channels, and a game channel! Maddie, how I wish you were here to see me totally pwn that Disney trivia game. Another one of the pretty innovative in flight games was the Berlitz World Traveler Language Guide. You entered what your native language is, and what language you want to learn. Now of course I went with the Spanish option, but there was Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Korean, Tagalog, French, German, and it goes on! I think it said there were 22 choices. Insane, I know. It’s like a mini Rosetta Stone to have in flight.

However, the food was a bit of a disappointment. Not because it was poorly made or anything. It just simply wasn’t Peruvian. Lasagna actually. With a chocolate mousse, side salad, dinner roll and Ovation mint like the kind they give out at Nordstrom. Still, I was content; at least they fed me for free (provided you don’t overthink the fact that I did pay a pretty hefty plane ticket fee).
Ultimately, it was a truly enjoyable flight, with just enough turbulence to keep you on your toes. Oh yeah, only downer: it was too cold! Their blanket and my North Face weren’t enough to keep me warm through my sleep. =[

Well, thanks for reading again. I miss all of you back home terribly. xxoo
